I’ve just received a press release from NXP Semiconductors about their pioneering new multi-standard digital radio processor with the so easy-to-remember name: SAF360x. They’re expected in car models starting end 2014. This is exactly what I am waiting for: a multi platform decoder chipset for car radios that will provide the US market with HD Radio, and Europe, India & Asia with DAB & DAB+ plus the world as well with DRM.
